Choir of the Year Competition 2012

The Area Selection is the first stage of the competion. Seven sessions are being held throughout the UK. In February 2012 the Children's Choir attended the Area Selection stage at The Anvil in Basingstoke. We were fortunate enough to be named joint "Choir of the Day" in the Open Category and entered into the second stage of the competion.

The New Forest Chamber Choir attended the Exeter Area Selection competision on 17th March. This was only their second public performance ever and their first competition. We are delighted to announce that they were awarded Open Choir of the Day and will now be entered into the second stage of the competition.

The second stage of the competition is the National Selection, a recording round where judges listen to all of the Area Selection Stage winners and put through four choirs from each category to the Category Finals. We hope to receive the resolts of this round in early June ..... we will keep you posted.
