About the Children’s Choir
Alison Russell-Hayward formed the Children’s Choir in 2008 in order to give children outstanding opportunities to sing together with other lovely people and to perform stunning music in wonderful settings. The Choir is a supportive “family“.
Alison’s previous roles include: Former Principal Royal Ballet School, London; Director of London Theatre/Dance Company; Soprano soloist and freelance choral Conductor. Singing teacher and vocal coach.
As well as directing the New Forest Children’s and Chamber Choirs, Alison has also worked as Executive Producer / Director / Choreographer / Consultant for dance, theatre, TV & Film. As Musical Director and Conductor she brings a wealth of experience as well as fun and a winning way with the children.
The choir rehearses in New Milton every Monday afternoon for an hour, beginning at 4:45pm (term time only).
They compete in local, regional and national competitions and enjoy a local following at their concerts and charitable performances.
Please check our diary for forthcoming concerts.
